MDL Powerup has recently expanded its operations to grow their UK agricultural machinery manufacturing business and use the experience within its workshop to manufacture ‘out of house’ fabrication projects.

It has recently upgraded its range of machinery to include a dynamic rotor balancer with the capability for shafts of up to four metres long, a 320-tonne press break with 3.2-metre bed and also a 4 x 2 metre 260-amp HD plasma cutter.

Director Chris Metcalfe said: ‘We are always looking for new ways to develop our business offering, to ensure we offer our customers a wide range of services and expertise under one roof.

“Innovation is at the heart of everything we do. We have invested greatly to develop the skillset of our staff, who have completed extensive training on our range of new manufacturing machinery, and we look forward to opening our doors to a new customer base who require offsite fabrication in the future.”

MDL Powerup Ltd has been based in Dalston since 2010 and is owned and operated by the Metcalfe family, who have an extensive background in agricultural fabrication.

They have recently completed a number of local flail balancing and repair contracts, as well as partnering with a large engineering company to provide them with a rapid and precise cutting service for four metre lengths of sheet steel which they could not complete with their own machinery.
