A leading Cumbrian land and estate agency has launched a new division to help clients deal with environmental and forestry issues.
H&H Land & Estate’s dedicated team has been created to reflect the accelerating shift in Government policy that puts environmental sustainability ever more firmly at the heart of the UK’s farming, forestry, and land management future.
Leading the team as head of environment and forestry is Tracey Jackson, H&H Land & Estates associate and a chartered surveyor.
The team will include David Morley, environment and conservation manager, well-known across the region for his knowledge of environmental schemes; Sarah Radcliffe, a forestry and woodland manager; Will Livesey, environmental and woodland advisor; Chartered surveyor Nick Mullins; Chris Gill, a farm business and environment advisor; and environment and conservation assistant Sarah Collier.
The team will also draw on the support of Dr Julia Aglionby, executive director of the Foundation for Common Land and chair of the Uplands Alliance.
Mark Johnson, managing director of H&H Land & Estates, said: “The evolution of our capability and renowned expertise to include this dedicated and hugely important team will benefit both new and existing clients alike. The professionalism and desire to continually improve our business for our customers is testament to our fantastic people.”
Working alongside H&H Land & Estate’s land agency team and property division, the environment and forestry team will help clients with environmental challenges in land and project management.
Tracey said: “Protecting and enhancing the environment is now a key consideration in every aspect of our farming and land management clients’ planning. How someone manages their farm or their forestry is affected by a whole range of environmental restrictions and incentives. Now we can now focus all our expertise in the advice and support we can give them to optimise their outcomes.
“Looking to the future there are many sustainable milestones to be met. We believe that in further developing our own environment and forestry offering here at H&H Land & Estates we are ensuring that we provide the very best advice and support to help clients achieve the most successful, sustainable future.”
