An opposition player badly injured at Carlisle’s Brunton Park has thanked the United medical staff for assistance he was given.
Harrogate Town’s 22-year-old defender Kayne Ramsay has posted an update on his health after he needed surgery following a horrific facial injury during the League Two clash with Carlisle United earlier this month.
Ramsay, who joined Harrogate from Southampton in the summer left the pitch covered in his own blood after a frightening collision with Carlisle forward Omari Patrick.
It was right at the end of Town’s 1-0 win and it was later revealed that Ramsay had suffered a broken jaw, cheekbone, nose, and eye socket.
Following his move in August Ramsay had quickly established himself as a regular in the Harrogate team all but one of their 24 League Two fixtures prior to his injury.
But after surgery on his facial fractures, Ramsay will miss the rest of the season at Wetherby Road.
Right-back Ramsay has posted a positive update on his status, writing: “Successful operation thank you to all the @harrogatetownafc and @officialcufc medical team that helped me , I am forever grateful! Road to recovery starts now PS please God, May my face return back to normal”
