
A Barrow drug dealer has been jailed after being caught with crack cocaine.
Antonio Cabob, 25, of Ramsden Street, was sentenced at Preston Crown Court on February 22 to three years in prison for possess with intent to supply a class A drug.
Police found the drugs after stopping a Peugeot 307 in August last year. The sole occupant of the vehicle was Cabob.
While searching the vehicle, officers located a magnetic container behind the steering column. in it were 14 individual zip-lock bags, each containing white crystallised-type powder.
Cabob pleaded guilty to the offence at an earlier hearing.
Detective Constable Ashlynne Elliot, of Furness CID, said: “We will continue to carry out proactive enquiries, like we did in this case, to identify those that aim to supply drugs across south Cumbria.
“Once identified, we will do our upmost to bring them to justice as part of our robust action to target such criminality in Cumbria and will pursue those involved at every level.
“I would also encourage the public to please report any information that they have on drug supply activity. Your information can be crucial in helping us tackle drug supply in our communities.”
