
Emergency services were called after a person was threatening to throw themselves in a Cumbrian river.
Police and the fire service were called at around 9.40pm yesterday, February 25, to Old Steels Bank in Wetheral, near Carlisle.
A person was threatening to jump into the River Eden.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “Three fire engines attended a rescue. While in attendance fire service assisted police. The fire service were in attendance for an hour.”
