A newly opened bohemian-inspired Dalston bridal shop has shared an inside look at some of the unique gowns it offers brides-to-be.
Daughters of Bohème, based at Low Flanders, was set up by Kathreen Burns to bridge a gap in the market for less formal and bohemian-style wedding gowns.
Kathreen was inspired after going wedding dress shopping with her daughter who was looking for a more unique and less traditional dress.
She said: “My daughter had this sort of bohemian style in mind when she was looking for her own wedding dress, but we struggled to find boho chic designs close to home in north Cumbria.

“It’s a style trend that fits really well with a more DIY approach to creating a unique day and with some of the wonderful wedding venues in barns and similar
locations across Cumbria.”
The shop opened its doors for the first time back in December, but has since gone on to have its first three successful months of trading.
Kathreen said: “We’re already getting bookings from brides-to-be who are keen to find out more about our designs. So far, the reaction to our location and approach has been really encouraging and I can’t wait to start seeing pictures of our brides on their big days later in the year.”

To set up her shop, Kathreen specially renovated part of her own home and she now stocks dresses from designers Dando of London, Marlise, Nicole Milano, Rembo Styling and RISH.
She added: “Our range of wedding dresses has an emphasis on bohemian style, but we stock a variety that I hope includes something for every modern bride.”
Kathreen is also currently running a competition with a prize of either £500 off a wedding dress from her range or £250 in cash.
