Lloyd Motor Group has revealed that it is expanding its operations in Carlisle, creating up to 20 new jobs as it continues its reinvestment in the area.

The expansion is part of a number of developments taking place throughout the coming months in Carlisle, including the exciting arrival of the new INEOS Grenadier and Lloyd AllRoad showroom in Kingstown, Carlisle, a new Smart Repair Centre at Carlisle Bodyshop and a redevelopment of the Lloyd Kia Carlisle site.

Rob Lindsay, Franchise Director at Lloyd Motor Group, said: “These developments offer an exciting opportunity for Lloyd Motor Group to strengthen further and expand its operations in Carlisle.

“These new opportunities will take the staff numbers in Carlisle to well over 460, and will see the Group become one of the largest employers in the area.”

Lloyd Motor Group, founded in 1976, operates in 32 locations across Northern England and Southern Scotland and employs over 1,200 people.

As part of this recruitment drive, Lloyd Motor Group will hold a recruitment open evening on Monday, March 13 2023.

Rob added: “We are holding an informal and friendly recruitment open evening on Monday 13 March. Everyone is welcome to visit us, regardless of experience, and learn more about the career opportunities here at Lloyd Motor Group.

“We are happy for people to come in for an informal chat and learn about our business and staff. The Group’s potential has been growing rapidly, and we have more exciting growth plans for 2023.”

Positions will include Sales Executives, Service Advisors, Showroom Hosts, Vehicle Technicians, Bodyshop Technicians, Motorcycle Technicians, Parts Advisors, Technician Apprentices, Software Developers and many more.

The expansions follow extensive retailer refurbishments at Lloyd Motor Group’s other retailer locations, and see the Group’s significant investment in all brands continue.

Sam Lloyd, Managing Director of Lloyd Motor Group, said: “At the heart of Lloyd Motor Group’s brand lie our people and values. They drive our operating principles and ambitions, which are fundamental to how we work.

“Despite having numerous sites across Northern England and the Borders, our roots remain firmly in Cumbria. Our Head Office is here in Carlisle, and we will always see Cumbria as our home and where our story began.

“We look forward to welcoming new colleagues to our Carlisle sites at an exciting time for us and our industry.”
