A man has been told by a judge he faces an inevitable and substantial prison sentence for his involvement in a criminal plot to supply cocaine in South Cumbria.
Cain Turner, 31, appeared at Carlisle Crown Court earlier today.
Turner, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to one offence, that of conspiring with others to supply cocaine, a controlled drug of class A, between February 2 and February 5 this year.
This is said to relate to the South Lakes area.
Turner’s lawyer, Andrew Evans, said there was no application for bail meaning that the defendant will remain remanded in custody.
The case was adjourned and he is due to be sentenced at the crown court on a date to be fixed.
The judge, Recorder Julian Shaw, told Turner of his guilty plea: “That will be reflected by you receiving credit in due course against the inevitable and substantial prison sentence that you will have to serve.
“The time that you are serving now will count against your eventual sentence.”
