
A man has been taken to hospital after a HGV crash near Warcop.
Police were called at around 3.15am today to the report of a two vehicle collision on the A66 between Appleby and Warcop.
The crash involved a HGV and a Isuzu d-max.
Two fire engines also attended and crews used cutting equipment to free one casualty from a vehicle.
Fire crews were on the scene for around 50 minutes.
The driver of the HGV, a man in his 50s, was uninjured.
The driver of the Isuzu, another man in his 50s, was taken to Cumberland Infirmary with injuries described as not serious.
The road reopened at around 7am.
