March trials continued with a new venue following the merger of the BHTA with the HTA as the action moved to Cardurnock.

The All In race was won by Inspect owned by sisters Anna and Kerry Lindsey from Crosby-on-Eden.

On March 25, the trials moved back to Moota with another excellent turnout of hounds as 93 took part.

It was another good night for the McMaster kennel taking all three places in the puppy race with Silver Dream this time getting up to win from kennel mate Rodney Raider and then Sarah Jane.

The first three in the All In race at Moota last night.

The senior trail was won again by Strawberry Mick owned by Graham Reid a repeat of the result from earlier in the week with Stephen Riley and Isla Hetherington’s Cautious coming second followed by Denise Bland’s Huntsman’s Quirk who finished in third place.

The All-In race was won by Bobby Moon followed by Huntsman’s Quantum owned by Alan Little and Biff in third place owned by Graham Reid.

Oulton staged the trials on March 26 where they ran the full puppy trail and it was Graham Reid’s Money Talks who came home first in front of Caroline Graham’s Hunter’s Zodiac followed by Ashley Horn’s Flight Line.

This was the first time the pups had run the full distance with the majority of them running well.

The hounds went to Barry Laidler and Caroline Clough’s Winterfell. Bill Melon’s Cracking Last One Two came home second with Brian and Joy Lister’s Lady Million finishing in third place.

The All In was won by Bill’s other hound Cracking Spirit followed by Ann and Malcolm Holmes’ Sweet Dreams and Brian and Joy’s other hound Imagine came in third.

Last night saw the last of the three trials at Moota and again there was a good turnout of hounds with 108 of them taking part.

Joy Lister, left, with Lady Million, a winner at Moota last night alongside Grace Napier with Foxparke Beep Beep who finished third.

Once more the McMaster kennel had a good night with two of the first three pups. It was Darren and Julie McMaster’s Silver Dream who came with a last minute push to take the win followed this time by Laura Steele, Andrew and Joel Bulman and Ian Rumney’s Embrace who finished second with Sarah Jane finishing third.

The senior race went to Brian and Joy Listers Lady Million, followed by Shaun Hetherington’s Splendid Lilly and last year’s good puppy Foxparke Beep Beep for the Napier’s.
