A motorbike has been stolen from outside a Whitehaven home.

Police are investigating the theft of the black and red Benelli 125 motorcycle, registration PX22XUG.

It was taken from the driveway of an address on Basket Road, Whitehaven.

The theft is believed to have happened after 9pm on March 20.

Police are looking for any information that could identify the thief and the current location of the bike.

Officers are asking people to report any suspicious behaviour on that night, such as anybody seen in this area wheeling a motorcycle down the street, any sightings of people unloading a motorcycle from a van that night or any knowledge of anyone coming into possession of the bike in question recently.

They are also asking people to check any personal CCTV systems to which they have access.

Anyone with information can report online at www.cumbria.police.uk/report-it quoting incident 209 of March 21 or call 101.

Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
