Senior solicitor Isil Cowan has been promoted to an associate at progressive law firm Wragg Mark-Bell.
Born in Turkey, Isil lived in London for 20 years and worked in various law firms before relocating to Cumbria five years ago with her husband, whose family originate from this county.
She joined Carlisle-based law firm Wragg Mark-Bel in January 2018 and specialises in commercial and residential conveyancing.
She said: “I feel very proud to have had my skills and qualifications recognised by our directors, the past three years have not been easy due to COVID, so to be trusted and promoted is a real accolade.”
Nick Kennon, managing partner, said: “Isil is an exceptional asset to Wragg Mark-Bell. She has demonstrated drive and commitment to her clients and colleagues, and we look forward to welcoming her as an Associate.”
Isil said the law firm has a very progressive attitude towards staff on all levels.
She added: “We recognise that supporting staff in their career advancement and professional development is beneficial to everyone. Many of our administrators have advanced to become paralegals and paralegals are progressing to become solicitors and legal executives.”
