Bram Cragg Farm

A Lake District farm and tourism business is on the market for £2.85 million.

Bram Cragg Farm, six miles from Keswick and 15 miles from Penrith, is for sale with H&H Land & Estates.

The farmhouse dates back to 1668 and has more than 40 acres of grazing land plus common rights, plus a three bedroom self-catering cottage, converted four bedroom stone barn,  and two timber lodges.

H&H Land & Estates associate, Tracey Jackson, said: “Bram Cragg has everything that dreams are made of.  Over the past three years especially we have seen a huge increase in the number of buyers hoping to find a property in the Lake District that will allow them to live in this extraordinary environment, work from home, and generate an income. We believe that this is the perfect property to make these ambitions a reality.

“Bram Cragg Farm offers a fantastic opportunity to achieve that dream, it’s rare to bring a property to the market that has a number of elements to it as Bram Cragg has, including sustainable electricity and heating systems.

“It has the added attraction of its genuinely stunning location nestled in a perfect Lake District landscape in a UNESCO World Heritage site. It doesn’t come better than this.”

With many original features, the Grade I listed three-bedroom, whitewashed farmhouse was totally refurbished in 2021.

The 40.20 acres of land benefits from grazing rights on both St John’s Common and High Rigg Near Naddle Common.
