
Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted in Barrow in the early hours of Monday.
The woman, in her 40s, was in the Stanley Road area of the town between 12.20am and 2am.
She has sustained a facial injury and is being supported by officers.
Officers would like to speak with the person pictured who was in the area at the time and may have information to help detectives with their investigation.

Detective Superintendent Jenny Beattie said: “We are appealing for anyone who has any information at all about the incident to contact us.
“We are also looking for anyone with doorbell and dashcam footage between 12.20am and 2am on Monday morning in the area of Stanley Street, Cameron Street, Burnaby Street, St Patrick’s Road, Stewart Street and Ferry Road.
“We have a team of detectives conducting numerous enquiries, which are at an early stage. Patrol activity is being increased in the area.
“Incidents such as this are very rare, but the community can take reassurance that we are doing all we can to investigate this.”
