Cumbria know clearly what they have to do on Saturday to get through their group in the County Championship Division Two.
They host group leaders Durham at Aspatria and need to win the game for a start, but they also have to earn a four-try bonus point and deny their visitors any sort of point.
They currently trail Durham by four points and with a poorer points differential but the main task will be to win the game first – which won’t be easy.
The Durham side is virtually entirely made up of the Billingham team which won promotion in the League season just ended. They were champions of Regional 1 North East, losing just three of their 22 games.
Last week Durham beat Staffordshire 48-28 and previously beat Northumberland 30-12 but both games were on home soil.
Cumbria performance manager Gary Hewer said: “We have to concentrate on fundamentals. We need to continue and build on our set piece, have a solid scrum base and be clinical with our line-outs.
“This will give us a foothold in the game to carry out our game plan. Defensively we need to be physical, efficient and disciplined with our approach to whatever their attack offers.”
