An urgent appeal has been launched for people to share their photos of the town’s social life for a new exhibition in Whitehaven.
The Rum Story has a new exhibition space and wants to show off its social history for its first show next month.
A spokesman said: “We want to show how social Whitehaven can be – do you have any photos of street parties? Fun times from the harbour? Old pubs from times gone by? Or someone who everyone loved? We want to hear from you.
“We look forward to showing off your memories on our free days at the beginning of June where we will be having some fun and games in The Rum Story for everyone to visit.”
The photos can be from any time in Whitehaven’s history – right up to the present day.
