
The body of a 15-year-old boy has been found after a major search of a Cumbrian river.
The search was launched after the youngster went missing after getting into difficulty in the River Eden in Carlisle with three other boys yesterday.
He was found in the river near to the Rosehill area shortly after 1.30pm today, May 27.
He has been named as Lewis Michael Kirkpatrick, of Carlisle.
His family are being supported by specialist officers.
The search was launched for the youngster after teens were rescued from a Cumbrian river.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service was called to the River Eden in Carlisle yesterday, May 26, at around 6.40pm after a call that four teenage boys had got into difficulty.
One boy, aged 14, has been airlifted to hospital in a critical condition. One managed to swim to safety while the other was rescued by a member of the public.
A major search operation was launched to find the 15-year-old.
