In the Carlisle and District Snooker League the second of the Team KO semi-finals dominated the weekly action.
The competition is sponsored by Woodpecker Kitchens and already waiting in the final were Qzone.
The second semi-final saw the Rock take on Eastriggs at St Margaret Mary’s Social Club, with the latter receiving a 75 head start over their First Division opponents.
Ste Little got the ball rolling for the Rock with a solid 63-48 win over Brian Peat, and Idris Trophy semi-finalist Mark Ballantyne followed-up with a resounding 79-25 success over Chris Sharkey.
The third frame saw Paul Cowing defeat Eastriggs’ captain Archie Walker by 69-24, followed by Rock captain Tony Armstrong emerging victorious by 45-23 over Dave Smith.
With the Rock being 61 ahead, and number one player Mally Lancaster playing the final frame, it looked a tough task for Eastriggs Jim O’Donnell, and it proved to be the case with Mally eventually winning a close frame 70-57.
It produced a final score of the Rock 326, Eastriggs 252 and the final – Qzone vs Rock will be on Ron’s table at the Qzone on Wednesday 21st June.
The feature match in Division One week saw multiple champions Qzone defeat Buffs A 6-0, all without their regular number one Paul Wright.
Qzone showed their class once again, with Giles Finneghan getting the ball rolling with a solid 54-39 win over Brian Sloan.
Ian Pattinson defeated Tommy Dobson 65-33 and Paul Corbishley had a dominant 54-2 win over HG Young finalist Bob Sewell.
Chris Forrester had a 66-6 success over Allan Jardine, and finally an epic battle ended with Martyn Gowing beating Mike Doherty 53-38 after some confusion over the final colours.

The Southend derby had to be the feature match of Division Two this week, and it didn’t disappoint.
Southend started brightly with number one player Tim Ward winning 61-22 over Jack Bowman. However Southend D hit back immediately when Carl Short beat HG Young semi finalist Andy Foster in a tight frame, 35-25.
Stuart Telford got Southend back ahead with a 46-36 victory over Daniel Blenkinsop, and Martin Milner extended their lead in defeating Jamie Blakey 49-35.
A 4-1 success was sealed when World Billiards player Mark Taylor emerged victorious over Jamie Corson 43-23.
