TV presenter Richard Hammond has been spotted in Cockermouth – buying chicken.
He was noticed by eagle-eyed shoppers in the town’s W Lindsay and Sons butchers shop on Station Street and happily posed for photos when approached by fans.
They said: “We were enjoying a day in the sunshine around Cockermouth’s fab shops and spotted him in the queue at Lindsay’s. He was lovely and was more than happy to pose for a picture when we said we were Top Gear fans.
“We know how much he loves Buttermere and it’s great to see him out and about in the local businesses.”
The former Top Gear presenter has a home in Buttermere and has been seen visiting several places in West Cumbria and the Lake District.
