It was one to forget for Barrow Raiders at Championship leaders Featherstone Rovers as they went under 64-6.
The defeat meant the Raiders slipped back into the bottom two, although it was a game that coach Paul Crarey would not have targeted.
He won’t be alone on that and damage limitation is often the main game plan against a side as strong as Featherstone.
It was 30-0 at the break after Barrow had shut-out the home side until the 13th minute when Craig Hall’s pace and power got him in for the first of Featherstone’s 11 tries – ten of which were converted by Hall.
Barrow had made a contest of it for the opening quarter but they were then asked to do a lot of defending on what was a strength-sapping hot day.
Barrow’s fortunes weren’t helped by a 20th minute ankle injury to Rio Corkill, which had followed Fev’s second try from Luke Briscoe.
Caleb Aekins, Gareth Gale and McKenzie Yei scored further first-half tries for the home side.
Barrow shocked Featherstone ten minutes into the second-half when Danny Langtree fired out a high cut-out pass and Luke Broadbent did really well to catch it and dive over for the try which Ellis Archer converted.
But four minutes later a former Barrow player Chris Hankinson found room in the Raiders defence to power through and set Fev oin their way again.
Arama Hau, Jack Bussey, Connor Jones (2) and Thomas Lacans went on to score the other second-half tries for Featherstone.
A home game with Keighley Cougars on Sunday should be more within Barrow’s compass.
