Driver airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after South Cumbria crash

The driver of a car involved in a South Cumbrian collision has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

The incident happened on the A590 near Witherslack yesterday, June 15, at around 3.55pm and involved a grey BMW 3 Series and a blue Ford Fiesta.

The driver of the Fiesta was taken to hospital by air ambulance.

The A590 remained closed for several hours for forensic collision investigations.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dash cam footage which may assist the investigation.
