Police are appealing for information after a racist comment was made in the play area and car park in Gosforth.
The hate crime happened on Sunday July 9 between 5.20pm and 5.45pm.
Officers would like to speak with a boy, aged 11, around 5ft 4ins tall with short brown hair, who was wearing a blue t-shirt, in relation to this incident.
