Weather permitting three Workington Comets riders will tackle the British Under-21 Final at Glasgow this afternoon (2pm).

Number one Connor Bailey, a former Glasgow rider, is among those fancied for a podium finish while Comets team-mates Sam McGurk and Ace Pijper are also involved.

Pijper currently rides in the Championship for Glasgow so will be hoping that track knowledge will also help his chances.

Also in the field is the 2022 winner Leon Flint as the Wolverhampton and Berwick rider triumphed at Birmingham last year.

The Ashfield event also features the other two rostrum finishers from 2022.

Treble British Under-19 Champion Drew Kemp goes for his first win at Under-21 level after finishing second at Redcar in 2021, and the third placed finisher on that day, Dan Gilkes, also lines up.

The other previous podium finisher is Anders Rowe, who was third at Berwick in the pandemic-hit 2020 season, in a meeting which saw Flint take the runners-up spot behind current Grand Prix star Dan Bewley.
