Following the re-signing of club skipper Rob Wilson, Kendal Town have announced a clutch of players returning.

Manager Jimmy Marshall is preparing to lead his side into a second season of NW Counties Premier Division football, starting tomorrow at home to AFC Liverpool.

Ben Thomas, Shaun Sailor, Brandon Croskell-Robinson and Elliot Wilson are all back again in Kendal colours.

Thomas returned to the club last summer and impressed with his consistent displays at left back, making 42 appearances across all competitions and scoring twice.

Thomas said: “I’m happy to commit to Kendal. My seasons here are stacking up now and I am looking forward to the upcoming one. We have a great set of lads and I can’t wait to get going.”

Midfielder Sailor made 47 appearances last campaign and scored five goals.

He said: “It’s great to have re-signed with Kendal Town this season and can’t wait to get going with the lads. Jimmy’s putting together a really competitive squad and hopefully we can push on in the league and be competing for a trophy again in May.”

Forward Croskell Robinson, who scored seven times last season, said: “As a local lad it’s a great feeling to have signed for Kendal Town again for the upcoming season. Hopefully we can build on last season’s positives and really push on in sending the club in the right direction.”

Centre half Wilson only joined the Mintcakes in January but went on to make 19 appearances last season in all competitions.
