Two West Cumbrian men are due to be sentenced next month for cannabis supply offending dating back to late 2020.
Bradley Austin, 21, and 22-year-old Jack Donald appeared at Carlisle Crown Court this afternoon.
During a short hearing in front of a judge, Austin admitted possession of cannabis with intent to supply, on December 5, 2020 and being concerned in supplying a quantity of the drug between November 6 and December 5 of that year.
Donald admitted being concerned in the supply of cannabis between November 17 and December 5.
Recorder Kate Bex KC adjourned the case. The judge heard that while a probation service pre-sentence report had been prepared in Donald’s case, there was no such background document yet available for Austin.
Recorder Bex directed that such a report should also be produced in Austin’s case before punishment was handed down. Both men were granted bail and are due to be sentenced at the crown court on August 30.
The judge told Donald, of The Square, Allonby, and Austin, of Cragg Road, Cleator Moor: “Both of you should understand I am not making any indication as to what the likely sentence will be. That will be up to the judge who sentences you.”
