Two Cumbria players are taking part today in NCCA trials being played in Oxfordshire.
Kendal’s all-rounder Freddie Fallows, who broke into the senior Cumbria side this season, and Cockermouth left-arm spinner Matthew Siddall, who was the county’s leading wicket-taker last season, are pushing their claims for selection.
There are three matches scheduled for today of 10 overs per side which is the same format as when the NCCA have represented England in the European Cricket Championships since 2021 and will do once again in 2023 in September/October in Malaga.
