A walker collapsed due to heat exhaustion while out on a Lake District fell.
The woman, who was with her husband, was descending Catbells yesterday, September 6.
Keswick Mountain Rescue Team and ambulance service were called out to help at around 12.40pm.
The mountain rescue team said: “The hot weather proved too much for a walker who was descending Catbells with her husband.
“Heat and dehydration caused her to collapse and briefly lose consciousness.
“Passing walkers made the call for help and provided the casualty water.
“Although the woman regained consciousness she was still feeling unwell. On arrival Keswick team assessed her condition and gave some relief for her nausea. She was then stretchered down to an ambulance and off to hospital for further checks.”
