Full-back Josh Rourke scooped five awards at Whitehaven’s end-of-season presentation night at the LEL Arena.
The ‘do’ was held after the 26-16 defeat at home to Toulouse Olympique and ahead of the dramatic last games in the Championship when Whitehaven just held on to their status as Keighley dropped to League One.
Rourke, who is not certain to be back with Whitehaven next season, was the major winner on the night as he picked-up half the awards on offer.
He was the Director’s Player of the Year; winner of the Bill McAlone award; Coaches player of the year; Players’ player of the year and Supporters Player of the Year – quite an achievement for one season.

The 23-year-old former Salford Red Devils player – with one Super League appearance on his CV – signed a one-year-deal with Haven last October and is now considering other offers from within the game.
Chief executive Barry Morgan said: “He has had a terrific season for us and we would like to keep him but he has had other offers which are beyond what we can afford. He has said, however, that nothing has been decided and he is going on holiday when he will consider his future.”
Oscar Doran, who came in during the season after playing rugby union with Newcastle Falcons, was young player of the year after a hugely promising start to his Haven career.

Club stalwart Dion Aiye was voted Player of the Year by the away supporters while Jamie Doran won the Turqiri Blackwell Memorial Awards and Curtis Teare won the Pep Graham Memorial Trophy.
Denis McKeown was awarded the trophy for Volunteer/Clubman of the Year.
