A man was hit on the head with a baseball bat following a pub fight earlier in the evening.
Police were called to Whitehaven on October 6 at around midnight. The victim of the assault was in his 30s.
It was reported that there was a fight between several people in the Twisted Tongue pub on New Street, earlier in the evening which led to an assault on Michael Street, which then continued down to Scotch Street, where police arrived.
A 19-year-old man was arrested and has since been released on bail.
Police are appealing for witnesses to this assault and the moments before.
