More than 100 new homes could be built in Ulverston.
Story Homes has sent letters to local residents informing them the developer intends to submit a full planning application for around 109 new homes on land at West End Farm.
It has invited residents to take part in a consultation process and to help shape the proposals before an application is submitted to Westmorland and Furness Council.
A Story Homes spokesman said: “Story Homes is carrying out public consultation to invite comments to our proposed plans for housing on land at West End Farm, Ulverston.
“The site is allocated in the local plan and hence the principle for residential development is established. We are looking for comments to help shape our plans which shall inform an intended planning submission before the end of this year.”
Story Homes said in a letter to residents they intend to submit a planning application this winter.
