A Wetheral road will close to traffic for resurfacing.
The work, on the B6263, is set to start on Monday, November 6, for 15 days, weather permitting.
The work will be carried out in two phases – firstly from Bowling Green to Eden Mount and phase two from the Wheatsheaf Inn to Wetheral Community Hall, with temporary 30mph signs.
The road will be closed from 8am to 5pm and will be accessible outside of these hours if it is considered safe, Cumberland Council said.
