There were some big scores in the second round of the Sunday County Cup – but one tie had to be settled in extra time.

King’s Arms, St Bees were locked 1-1 with Butcher’s at the end of the 90 minutes but in the 30 minutes extra the Maryport side scored twice to go through.

Cieran Laverty (2) and Joe Hetherington provided the finishes for Butcher’s with Owen Adair netting for King’s Arms.

Deer Orchard had to work hard to beat First Division opponents Senhouse Street 5-3, going through with goals from Callum West, Luke Graham, Ryan Gorley and Luke Harrison. They also had the help of an own goal.

Zach Starkie, Paul Brown and Terry Wharrier netted for Senhouse Street.

Dearham Commercial went through after a 3-0 home win over Lowca Pirates in which they scored goals from Aaron Lister, Lewis Manchester and Brett McMillan.

Martyn Ross scored a hat-trick for The Sun but it didn’t help much in their tie at Moresby as the hosts won 7-3. James Bell (3), Tom Pattinson (2), Aaron Hart and Jacob Field were the Moresby scorers.

Sun Inn were more successful as they made progress with a 6-1 win at Seaton Rangers.

Harry Creighton (3), Louie Elliot (2) and Jackson Slack were on target for the Aspatria side while Ryan Mahoney netted for Seaton.

The other two ties were a bit one-sided as Northside beat Royal Oak 9-0 while FC Cosmos were not far behind, beating Swan 8-0.

Max Litt (4), Callum Killick (2), Jamie Glover, Jamie Bramley and Chad Grisedale scored the Northside goals while Robbie Baggley (4), Rhys Singleton (2), Alan Cardy and Lewis Park were on target for Cosmos.

Next Sunday’s fixtures are:- Premier Division – Moresby Rangers v Northside; Thornhill v Parkside.

First Division – King’s Arms v Flimby Social; Seaton Rangers v Salterbeck; The Sun v Royal Oak.

President’s Cup – Lowca Pirates v FC Cosmos; Sun Inn v Butcher’s.
