Police appeal for witnesses following a report of a teenage cyclist sexually assaulting two separate children.
The incidents happened on Thursday and Friday.
The first took place on Upperby Road, Carlisle at around 7.55am on Thursday, November 23. The second took place on Friday, November 24, on Boundary Road in the city at a similar time.
A 14-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault by touching and has been released pending further enquiries.
Police said they would like to reassure the local community that there is no known risk to the wider public.
