Poole have announced the return of west Cumbrian Richard Lawson for a third season.
The 37-year-old former Workington rider is set to start the Championship campaign in the No.1 berth.
Lawson will also be celebrating his Testimonial at Wimborne Road in 2024 as well as looking to help the Pirates reclaim major silverware in the league and KO Cup after their two defeats in finals in October.
He said: “2024 does feel like a big year for me, and as always I will be ready and look forward to the challenges. Holding the No.1 race jacket is something that I am proud of. It is tough and I enjoy the pressure of that.
“I am really excited about the prospect of having my testimonial and that too is an honour, and especially so as I am holding it at Poole. I feel like the fans have taken me under their wing from day one.”
Richard’s father Steve Lawson is co-promoter of the new Workington Comets at Northside.
