Neighbouring properties on a Lake District road were targeted by burglars.
The properties on Kirkstone Road, Ambleside, were broken into between 7.45am on Wednesday December 20 and 7.45am on Thursday December 21.
Both properties had windows smashed with damage being caused and property taken.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or any information which may help to identify suspects.
