Barrow are back on the fringes of automatic promotion after a 1-0 home win over Tranmere Rovers.
They are fourth, just a point behind second and third-placed Mansfield and Wrexham, although the south Cumbrians have played a game more.
They were looking to recover from a 4-1 defeat at Wrexham on New Year’s Day but had to wait until the 80th minute for the winner.
Dean Campbell scored his third goal of the season with a lovely curling shot from the edge of the area after Elliot Newby had squared the ball inviting the first-time shot.
It completed a League double for the Bluebirds against a side who had hit form after a slow start to the season and had won their last four games.
It wasn’t all plain sailing after Campbell’s strike as Barrow were fortunate in stoppage time when Josh Hawkes fired one in from just inside a crowded area and saw it rebound off a post.
It was Barrow, however, who were closest to adding another goal but right at the death Kian Spence had an effort disallowed for offside.
