St Bees’ headteacher has revealed he will leave the school at the end of this academic year.
Robin Silk has been headteacher at St Bees since summer 2021 and will leave in August to join the King’s School Vattanacville in Cambodia as its founding
principal.
The school said Mr Silk had played a vital role in St Bees’ growth and development.
He has spent most of his career on the international stage and said he felt it was the right time to return to international eduction.
Current deputy head and head of sixth form Andrew Keep, will become interim head until his own retirement in August 2025.
Mr Keep started work at the school in 2010 until the closure in 2015, when he joined Whitehaven Academy. He returned to St Bees in 2020.
