In the Cumberland County League all the scheduled fixtures were played, something that hasn’t happened for several months because of the weather.
Cockermouth booked their place in the final of the Conway Cup with a 2-0 win against Workington Reds Reserves. Rob Cox and Kyran Bertram provided the goals for the winners.
In the other semi-final goals from Rhys Singleton, Sam Tallantire and an opponent gave Premier Division outfit Gosforth a 3-0 win over Bransty Rangers from Division One.

In the Premier Division, Aspatria suffered their first league defeat of the season as they were beaten 2-0 by Maryport Athletic. Goals from Ellis Short and Ciaran Laverty gave Maryport their fourth league win of the campaign.
Whitehaven Miners Social were 4-2 winners against Cleator Moor Celtic Reserves thanks to goals from Jamie Thursby, Bradley O’Pray (pen), Lewis Park
and Alan Cardy. Lewis Close and Sean O’Neil were on the scoreboard for Celtic.
Elsewhere in the Premier Division, goals from Tom Hill and Louie Elliot had Wigton Harriers leading 2-0 against Unisun Athletic at half time. However, a second half double from Unisun’s Liam Graham made sure the points were shared after a 2-2 draw.
In Division One, Ryan Smith (2), Callum Wilson and Nathaniel Clark gave Mirehouse a 4-2 win over local rivals Whitehaven Miners Social Development, whose goals came from Chris Moore and Jordan Lightfoot.
Windscale Reserves enjoyed a 3-2 win against Silloth with Kieran Fraser (2) and Harry Hodgson grabbing the goals. Kris Nichol bagged both goals for Silloth.
In the third game of the day in Division One, Kyah Frazer and Jack Brown scored to give Dearham United a 2-0 win against Whitehaven AFC Reserves.
On Wednesday evening, Cumberland County League Premier Division club Maryport Athletic will travel to Wearside League Premier outfit Windscale in the Fred Conway Cumberland Cup quarter final, kick off is 7-30pm.
