Three people were rescued after a carbon monoxide scare in a Lake District bothy.
Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team were called out at around 9.25pm on Friday to Warnscale Bothy – also known as ‘room with a view’.
The party of three people requested assistance after a carbon monoxide detector in the shelter started to go off repeatedly.
They then left the bothy in an attempt to find their way back to their parked car at Honister Slate Mine, but became lost in thick fog.
The trio eventually managed to find their way back to the bothy where rescue team members assessed them and assisted them safely off the fell.
