The draw has been made for the British Under-21 Qualifier to be staged at Plymouth on Tuesday April 30.

Workington Comets only have one rider – Sam McGurk – involved this year since stepping up to the Championship with a more experienced side.

Six riders have already been seeded to the Final, based on their Championship averages from 2023, with those places going to Leon Flint, Dan Thompson, Joe Thompson, former Comet Ace Pijper, Jake Mulford and Nathan Ablitt.

They will be joined by ten qualifiers from the Coliseum, with the line-up including local youngster Ben Trigger and Poole reserve duo Sam Hagon and Max Perry, along with 2023 British Youth Champion Ashton Boughen.

DRAW: 1 Sam Hagon, 2 Max Perry, 3 Ashton Vale, 4 Chad Wirtzfeld, 5 former Comet Elliot Kelly, 6 Ashton Boughen, 7 Freddy Hodder, 8 Ben Trigger, 9 Luke Killeen, 10 Mickie Simpson, 11 former Comet Luke Harrison, 12 Max James, 13 Sam McGurk, 14 Vinnie Foord, 15 Jody Scott, 16 Archie Freeman.

Meanwhile dates and venues have been confirmed for seven rounds of the 2024 British Youth Championship with Workington’s Northside track staging two rounds.

The series will get underway at Scunthorpe on Good Friday (March 29) and then runs throughout the summer, with dates to be added for rounds at Leicester and Redcar.

The events at Belle Vue and Workington will be split over two dates, with the confirmation of classes in those meetings to follow.
