Over the many years that the Carlisle & District snooker and billiard leagues have been operating on a Tuesday night in various pubs and clubs in the area family involvement has been common.
There have been teams that have had brothers, cousins and even fathers and sons playing in the same team on the same evening.
However, in the latest round of matches there were three generations of one family playing for Qzone Originals in an away match at RAOB Club in Division Two.
Peter Lowrie has been playing for Qzone for over 25 years, his son Matt joined the team about 15 years ago and now Matt’s son Elliot has now joined the squad.
In their matches on Tuesday there was mixed fortunes. Matt beat Alan Jardine, Peter beat Brian Makepeace, however Elliot came up short against the experience of John Greenland. But once Elliot gains more experience, everyone knows that his first win won’t be far away.
