Kendal have announced the signing of 20-year-old Evan Williams as the club’s professional for the 2024 season.
He joins the Cumbrians from Lancashire League team Greenmount where last season he scored 932 runs with an average of 49 with a high score of 121, and took 29 wickets.
Evan is a former Sedbergh School student, working with former Kendal club head coach Martin Speight and has represented Lancashire right through their pathways (u11-u18).
He has also played for Durham 2nd XI and represented Cumbria in the NCCA.
Currently, Evan is out in Australia for the second successive winter – this time playing for Mt Martha in Victoria.
Kendal play their first Northern League game at Shap Road on April 27 when they host Fulwood and Broughton.
