A section of Carlisle’s Botchergate will close for nine nights so the road can be resurfaced.
The road will be closed between Close Street and Portland Place from Thursday February 22 until Tuesday March 5, weather permitting and excluding weekends.
Work will be take place between 6pm and 1am.
A full diversion route will be put in place.
Cumberland Council said it had scheduled the work to mitigate further disruption, given the current closure of Devonshire Street.
Access will be maintained for emergency services during the work.
