Cumbria Health on Call is changing its name for the second time.
The not-for-profit service, which was originally Cuedoc when it was set up in 1996, changed to its current name in 2009.
From February 26, it will now be called Cumbria Health.
It said it had developed from an out-of-hours primary health care provider to now offering various services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
The service now encompass six GP practices across Cumbria, and multiple day time services.
Along with their name change, Cumbria Health will move to a new administrative site based at Rosehill in Carlisle.
Susan Blakemore, chief executive, said: “In 2023 we undertook a rebranding exercise to reflect our varied and innovative service in partnership with H&H Reeds.
“We engaged with our team on this exercise, inviting them to join focus groups and complete a survey, giving them the opportunity to convey their thoughts and feelings about our service and what it means to them.
This engagement returned a strong message, that our service and name means a lot to both our team and the patients we serve, along with a strong sense of pride in all that we do and in the name Cumbria Health on Call. Therefore we knew we needed to retain our heritage whilst looking to reflect our service as it now.”
The service also has a new logo.
