Tonight’s Fred Conway County Cup quarter final between Windscale and Maryport Athletic has been postponed.
An inspection of the Falcon Complex pitch at lunchtime confirmed the worst fears that it was unplayable after heavy rain during the night and throughout the morning.
No new date has been announced for the tie and that will be down to the Cumberland FA to suggest an alternative date.
It leaves holders Workington Reds waiting to find out who they will meet in the semi-final. Carlisle United have agreed to play Whitehaven Miners Social in the other semi-final on March 5 at Brunton Park.
