Parkside moved through to the final of the Kenny Hailes Memorial Trophy with a 5-2 win against FC Cosmos.

The two Carlisle City players in the Parkside ranks did the scoring between them with Callum Birdsall grabbing four and Tom Mahone adding the other.

Jamie Thursby and Lewis Park were on target for the home side, Cosmos.

Parkside’s main rivals in the West Cumberland Sunday League Premier Division, Northside, also made Cup progress.

They were 4-0 winners against Division One opponents FC Butchers in the quarter final of the Albert Murphy Trophy.

Tommy Whitehead (2), Anthony Zajac and Jamie Glover were the goal scorers for the Workington side.

Deer Orchard were comfortable 5-0 winners against Thornhill as Harry Johnson (2), Louis Pickering, Max Pickering and Keith Skillen found the back of the net,

Dearham won even handier against Bluebell as they knocked in six goals without reply. Aaron Lister led the way with a hat-trick and he was joined on the score-sheet by Jack Taylorm Danny Manchester and an own goal.

In the third tier of the League Cup there was a tight game involving Swan and Royal Oak. Eventually goals from Carl Lofthouse and Jordan Handisides gave the Oak a 2-0 victory.
