Langwathby Bridge will close for three nights for maintenance.
The A686 bridge will close between 8pm and 6am from today, Wednesday February 28.
Work is expected to complete by 6am on Saturday March 2.
Westmorland and Furness Council will be carrying out the work on three consecutive nights – February 28, February 29 and March 1 from 8pm to 6am.
The road will be fully closed during these hours and a signed diversion is in place via A66, B6412 Culgaith.
Pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will still be able to use the route with site staff on hand to help them navigate through the closure.
