Morgan Kasiera – set to be appearing at this year’s Creamfields – has joined the line-up of Cumbria’s newest radio station.
The DJ and electronic music producer, of Dalston, has performed at the Ministry of Sound in London among other clubs across the country, plus has performed in Ibiza – and is returning to the island this year as well as making his Creamfields debut.
Morgan said: “I hope to bring something different to the waves on CRFM, exposing you to new music from different genres I like to play when performing. I’m hoping with my time in Ibiza it gives me more inspiration to bring you something fresh.”
Programme director Lindsey Kerr said: “It’s great to have some local talent on board. Morgan is very enthusiastic and is already a big name in the city and our younger listeners will love him. His experience in the present dance scene, along with his knowledge of dance music in general will only add to the overall feel to the weekend on CRFM.”
CRFM, a community radio station for Carlisle, has begun test transmissions after a new aerial was installed at the top of the city’s Civic Centre.
The station said that early indications were that the station could be heard as far as Brampton, across to Low Hesket in the south, Burgh-by-Sands to the west and Wigton to the south west.
