An Uppies and Downies player is in hospital in a serious condition after suffering a medical episode during the mass football game in Workington.
Emergency services attending the event responded to concerns for the man in his 50s near Allerdale House, off Griffin Street, at around 10pm today, April 2.
He was believed to have had a medical episode and was taken to Carlisle’s Cumberland Infirmary by ambulance.
Police said he was described as being in a serious condition.
