Two Cumbrian pubs are running special events during April and May.

The Kings Arms in Stainton, and the Sun Inn at Newton Reigny are both owned by the Jakeman family, and the events will give families plenty of reasons to visit either pub and return time and again.

At the Kings Arms, the new spring menu launches on April 19, with a special music night and quiz on April 27. No tickets are needed – just turn up and enjoy.

Tuesdays are theme nights with different menus and April’s theme is Mediterranean, while May’s is planned to be Tex-Mex.

The regular Fish & Chip Bingo nights will continue on the last Thursday of every month

May will see two special events – the Kings’ big breakfast morning on May 4 from 10.30am to 2pm, while Saturday May 11 sees the return of the hugely popular Taste of Cumbria event.
